Kevin’s Story

You may be wondering how I came to be here with you today.

Let me tell you a quick story about how I moved from running a digital marketing business to helping people who need to sell their house fast. It does not sound like the two are related, but read on, and I’ll tell you more.

I ran a successful search engine marketing business then, and my father (Tom) was nearing retirement.

I was struggling to find a real passion for serving clients with their digital marketing using big tech tools. Don’t get me wrong; I love providing a valuable service app that helps clients grow their businesses because it keeps others employed.

Still, I was increasingly concerned with big tech’s direction. People. Plus, I was getting more detached from the business since it was all virtual. This was pre covid, mind you. But overall, it’s much more rewarding to see the person face to face and help people locally in Connecticut.

At the same time, my father was approaching retirement, but he did not want to give up the idea of working. He saw it as an opportunity to help people out of difficult situations. He has tons of experience, and his tax and legal background translates very well to helping people solve their issues surrounding houses.

Then a significant change came with the search engines and the direction these giant corporations were pointing themselves. From privacy issues and beyond, I was starting to have a substantial problem with the direction these companies were moving.

Which meant I had to make a decision. Be at the mercy of these giant tech companies, or apply what I’ve done for clients over the past 15 years and create a service that would help people locally.

As you can imagine, it was a decision that would change the direction of my life. And I wasn’t ready to give up on my dream of helping people make a difference in their lives.

Then we decided to help people move on from an unwanted house and couldn’t sell it the traditional way. At that point, everything changed!

We discovered many people with unwanted houses that they can’t sell traditionally. We didn’t even know you could sell a home without a realtor! Using my previously developed digital marketing skills, I can connect people desperate to escape their situation to our house-buying service in Connecticut.

And use my skills in connecting people to our service and Tom’s legal and tax expertise to make a massive difference in people’s lives.

Now we are living our dream of helping people in Connecticut make a difference in their lives. I also never have to worry about AI taking over my role with my clients or being too aligned with giant tech companies.
